What is EyeInspect?

It’s advanced Artificial Intelligence for your eyes that provides additional insight in identifying underlying eye and health problems.

For a small cost EyeInspect can be included with your regular eye checkup. So you’ll not only have the added reassurance of being assessed by a professional optometrist, you’ll also receive a high-tech retinal screening assessment using world-class technology.

Why use EyeInspect?

EyeInspect assists in the early detection of eye and health problems (including chronic diseases). If a health problem is detected in your report, you can discuss it further with your Optometrist or a trusted medical professional. Your eyes are so important – and early detection and intervention can make a huge difference and, in some cases, could even prevent vision loss.

How does it work?

It’s quite simple, and only takes a minute or two. Digital images of your retinas are taken by your Optometrist. EyeInspect then works its magic using advanced medical Artificial Intelligence (AI) to instantly assess your  images for early signs of conditions like:

Does it hurt?

Not at all. It’s completely painless and non-invasive, and as quick and easy as having a photo taken. The powerful AI technology does the hard work after that point.

What does the AI technology actually do?

Essentially, your retinal images will be digitally assessed to determine whether you may have any underlying eye and general health conditions. An EyeInspect report will highlight any areas of concern with a high level of precision, and provide you with an eye health ranking compared to others within your age group.

How much does EyeInspect cost?

The cost to include EyeInspect with your regular eye checkup is:

  • $24 Bupa Health members
  • $30 non-Bupa member
